La Nuit featuring Gitano Family

During a brief stay in Malaga, Spain, Philip and Gabriel, the talented multi-instrumentalist, writer, and composer, found inspiration to revisit and re-release his single La Nui in a Spanish version. The result is La Nui, La Noche (Chitono Family Version)—a unique collaboration that blends flamenco and gypsy rock elements with Philip and Gabriel’s original composition.

For this reimagined version, Philip and Gabriel invited the acclaimed band Chitono Family to sing and play guitar on the verses, while he took over the choruses. The track underwent a transformation, stripping down the original orchestration to focus on vibrant acoustic guitars, soulful vocals, and intricate percussion, creating an entirely new atmosphere.

The song was mixed at Studio Attica in Malaga by renowned sound engineer Sergio, who brought depth and richness to the track. Local percussionists also contributed, adding authentic Spanish flair to the arrangement.

Accompanying the release, a homemade video directed by Philip and Gabriel is now available on YouTube, capturing the energy and passion of this collaborative project.

La Nui, La Noche marks the second single from Philip and Gabriel’s album Le Naufragé. The first single, Ferme Les Yeux, was re-released with completely new orchestration featuring a string orchestra from a Ukrainian ensemble.
